Special Buddies
Gwendolyn loves her friends. She just loves them. When I say their different names, she immediately lights up and gets so excited about going to see them. And although she usually watches from her stroller or from the couch as they play (toddlers are pretty busy), I can tell she still feels included. She listens to every squeal, every laugh, every shout. She looks at me with concern when one of them cries over a toy. And she is in absolute heaven when they come up to her, bring her a toy, want to see what she has. It simply warms my soul to see the innocent interactions between Gwendolyn and her friends. And on Friday my soul was on fire. Our sweet little friend Bella was determined to bring a book to share with Gwendolyn. So Marina, Bella's Mommy, popped the book in her bag, but assumed her usually very busy little girl would forget. Well, as soon as we arrived, Bella started saying, "Yeah, Gwendolyn. Show you my book. Mommy get book. Show Gwendolyn..." She then cuddled up with Gwendolyn and very patiently held Pat The Bunny so Gwendolyn could see each page. They sniffed the flowers. They felt the scratchy Daddy face. And they pat the soft bunny fur together. And they both had so much fun!!!

Oh that is just so wonderful!!! Thank you for those pictures. They are very special friends indeed.
Such a sweet moment for you and Gwendolyn. I love watching Addy interact with other kids too.
This is a precious picture of two very special friends. Bella tho little already knows the special meaning of friendship. Caring n sharing. The pix tells it all!
how sweet. Bellas mama is raising a wonderful little girl!
Very very adorable!
It also warmed my heart that children at such an early age get used to people with disabilities. I have met parents who hide their children away from adults and children with disabilities thinking they are doing their children a favor to not let them know that people with disabilities are just part of our society, and how we can interact with them.
So so so sweet!! I love this post!
so sweet, i am proud of my girls

Kids are so awesome! And I love that book....
Priceless.
This says a lot about Bella and her parents and what they've taught her in her short 2 years.
Gwendolyn is blessed to have such wonderful friends.
