Christmas Recap: One Happy Little Girl

We had a wonderful Christmas! It was nice being with family, sharing stories, cooking a big meal together, and the best thing of all was seeing Gwendolyn love every minute. She is such a happy little girl and was thrilled with the newness and excitement and with simply being included. She helped open almost every present — all of hers and some of ours. After opening each gift, she loved to play with each toy, wanted to read the book right then, or would examine each new outfit — fully satisfied. At dinner she was perfectly content to sit in her stroller between us and watch everyone talk, as long as she was wearing her gold crown from her Christmas cracker and we would “Cheers” with her every so often (she had her own little tea cup). When we put her to bed that night, we asked if she liked Christmas and she gave us an emphatic “Guh” (yes) before falling asleep with a big smile. Here are a few of the 1 million pics of the day:

As soon as we brought her downstairs Christmas morning, Gwendolyn immediately spotted that her stocking was full and she had to open it right then.
Spoiled much? Look at all those pressies!
Gwendolyn loves opening presents — doesn’t every child?
